GYH Welcomes Jason Levy, former Senior Attorney in the DHS Office of the General Counsel

Washington, D.C., [June 26, 2025] — Grossman Young & Hammond LLP, a premier immigration and international human rights law firm, welcomes Jason Levy as Counsel. Levy brings nearly 30 years of experience in immigration law, including more than 15 years of distinguished service as Senior Attorney and Attorney Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel, Immigration Law Division at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
At DHS, Levy served as a key legal advisor to the department’s leadership and interagency partners on some of the most consequential immigration policy decisions of the past two decades. He played a central role in shaping rulemakings and guidance issued by DHS and its component agencies – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – with particular focus on employment-based immigration. Among his various other duties, he also contributed subject matter expertise to the U.S. Department of Justice in major federal litigation.

Before his tenure in public service, Levy practiced for 13 years at the immigration law firm Ross, Silverman & Levy LLP in Boston, where he was a partner for seven years. There, he advised Fortune 500 and other companies, educational and medical institutions, and individuals on a wide range of employment- and family-based immigration matters, naturalization, and administrative processes.
