June 24th, 2020
On Monday, June 22, The Trump Administration passed a new Executive Order (EO) on immigration entitled, "Proclamation Suspending Entry of Aliens Who Present a Risk to the U.S. Labor Market Following the Coronavirus Outbreak." The EO bans certain work visas (including H-1B, H-2B, L-1 and some J-1s) through 2020 and adds a variety of additional restrictions to the April 22 Presidential Proclamation 10014, which banned certain immigrants outside of the U.S. from entry in response to the pandemic. GYH Partners Becki Young and Sandra Grossman provide an overview of the EO, highlighting provisions not being covered by media and analyzing how cases may be impacted.
