TranscendEntry

Travel With Confidence. Legal Support When You Need It Most.

International travel has become increasingly unpredictable. Travelers who previously would have satisfied all U.S. entry requirements at an initial inspection before a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officer now routinely experience an extended secondary inspection upon their return to the United States — including questioning about immigration history, searches of electronic devices, or even denied entry at a U.S. port of entry.

When that happens, having experienced immigration counsel already in your corner can make all the difference.

TranscendEntry is Grossman Young & Hammond’s premium traveler protection program, providing pre-travel planning, attorney access, and rapid legal support for companies, executives, employees, and individual travelers navigating entry and associated U.S. travel requirements and facing immigration issues before or during their inspection at the U.S. border.

Whether you are a multinational company protecting a globally mobile workforce or an individual traveler with immigration concerns, TranscendEntry provides the guidance and support to negotiate international travel with greater confidence.

What Is TranscendEntry?

TranscendEntry is a comprehensive travel support program designed for today’s immigration environment.

Before travel, our attorneys help travelers identify potential immigration risks so they can be addressed before departure.

During travel, our legal team remains on standby. If a traveler encounters problems with U.S. immigration officials at the border — including issues that may lead an officer to refuse entry into the U.S. — our attorneys can respond promptly and coordinate legal assistance whenever possible.

Our goal is simple: to ensure that no traveler faces a difficult immigration situation alone, when they are trying to enter the U.S..

Who Is It For ?

TranscendEntry is designed for:

  • Multinational corporations
  • Universities and research institutions
  • International businesses
  • Executives and frequent business travelers
  • Foreign nationals living and working in the United States
  • U.S. citizens with complex immigration or international travel concerns
  • Individual travelers seeking added peace of mind in confronting today’s more stringent U.S. border crossing requirements

How the Program Works

Corporate Plans

Corporate and institutional subscribers pay a monthly membership fee that provides access to the TranscendEntry program for their workforce.

Before each covered trip, we:

  • Review the traveler’s circumstances for potential immigration concerns
  • Provide customized pre-travel guidance on
  • Prepare documentation authorizing our representation where appropriate
  • Place our legal team on standby during the travel period

A fixed per-trip fee ensures attorney availability during the traveler’s reentry into the United States.

If direct legal intervention becomes necessary, services beyond standby coverage are billed separately.

Individual Travelers

Individuals may also enroll without a corporate subscription.

We offer the same pre-travel planning, attorney availability, and legal support on a per-trip basis.

Know Your Rights Training

Preparation is one of the best ways to reduce stress and avoid costly mistakes.

Our Know Your Rights training helps organizations and individual travelers understand what to expect during encounters with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Topics include:

  • Questions CBP officers may ask
  • Secondary inspections
  • Rights of U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and visa holders
  • Electronic device searches
  • Protecting confidential business information
  • When to speak — and when not to
  • The risks of signing documents without legal advice
  • When legal counsel may become available
  • Reasons travelers may be denied entry to the United States — even with a valid visa

Using real-world examples drawn from decades of immigration practice, our attorneys explain both the law and the practical realities of today’s inspection process.

Pre-Travel Consultations

Some travelers face greater risks than others.

Our individualized pre-travel consultations help identify potential issues before you depart, reducing the risk that your application for admission to the United States will be refused. We evaluate factors such as:

  • Prior immigration history
  • Criminal or law enforcement interactions
  • Previous visa issues
  • Social media or political activity
  • International travel history
  • Employment and educational background
  • Family ties
  • Purpose of travel

When concerns are identified, we work with you to develop strategies before you reach the port of entry — not after.
