Thank you to all who joined our webinar – Down to the Wire-Impending H-1B Changes. A recording of this webinar and PDF of slides are below.

This presentation covered the three recent regulations impacting H-1Bs, including major changes to the way prevailing wage is calculated, redefining “specialty occupation,” and replacing the H-1B cap lottery with a wage-based selection system, among other substantial changes.

Just before the webinar, the Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) announced that, in response to the District Court ruling against DHS’ proposed Prevailing Wage changes, it will temporarily disable its FLAG system so it can roll back its information to reflect the original prevailing wage calculations used prior to October 7th. The full announcement is available here.

As mentioned in the presentation, you may submit your own comments on DHS’ proposed changes to the definition of “specialty occupation” here.
